Banks love to lend money to those who don’t need it.
Record labels love to sign musicians who don’t need their help.
People fall in love with people who won’t give them the time of day.
It’s a strange law of human behavior. It’s pretty universal.
If you set up your business like you don’t need the money, people are happier to pay you.
When someone’s doing something for the money, people can sense it, like a desperate lover. It’s a turn-off.
When someone’s doing something for love, being generous instead of stingy, trusting instead of fearful, it triggers this law: We want to give to those who give.
It’s another Tao of business: Set up your business like you don’t need the money, and it’ll likely come your way.

- Sean Crawford (2017-12-18) #In his book on being involved in political parties, Robert Heinlein advised party volunteers not to accept pay for what they were doing. Because they might get treated as a hired gun or hired hand, but as a volunteer they would have respect.
Some one said you can’t follow that advice today. Yes, but the principle is still good.

I really love this idea and i know that is 100% truth, but you can really have this attitude only if your ass is covered. I am a small business owner in Greece (you know the story..) and i am struggling to keep my business running for about 8 years now and i know that when my payments are covered and when the cash flow is good then my attitude is changed and more money keep coming,but there are a lot of times that i have to pay and keep my promises to people and i don’t have the cash, and when this happen everything magically stops..
The question is how to keep this mentality and attitude in the bad days..
